酢豚 Sweet and sour pork
酢豚です。
酢豚はもともと中華料理ですね。でもすでに
日本でも一般的で、我が家でもよく作ります。
豚じゃなくて鶏だったりします。ウチでは。

米粉パン Bread with rice flour
米粉パンを焼きました。
強力粉に3割ほどの米粉をまぜて、レーズンパンにしてみました。
米粉パンは小麦粉だけのパンに比べて
しっとり、もっちりした感触で、腹持ちがいいです。
I baked bread with some rice flour mixed with ordinary wheat flour.
Bread made with rice powder is moist and tasty.

新じゃがの素揚げ Fried new potatoes
しんじゃがの素揚げです。
しんじゃが、小さくてかわいいですね。

Potatoes, which we see in supermarkets year-round from different product areas, the smaller ones since May is called "new potatoes".
It is characterized by a thin skin, you can enjoy fresh texture.

焼きそば Fried noodles
お昼に焼きそばを食べました。
具はベーコン、アスパラなど。。残り物です。(笑)

カジキマグロの照り焼き Teriyaki Marlin
カジキマグロの照り焼きを食べました。
生姜醤油をからめて焼くのが我が家風。
Marlin, billfish grilled in a soy sauce marinade.
Often the marinade is sweet, but we use ginger at our home.

柏餅 Kashiwamochi
柏餅です。
5 月5日の端午の節句の 供物。
カシワの葉は新芽が育つまでは古い葉が落ちないことから、「子孫繁栄(家系が途切れない)」の意味があるのだとか。
May 5th was traditionally a festival for boys known as Tango no Sekku.
There are some customs associated with the day.
These include bathing with iris leaves in the water
and eating rice cakes wrapped in Kashiwa leaves called kashiwamochi.
They say Kashiwa leaves never fall until the new leaves grow, represents fertility.

餃子 Gyoza
餃子です。
我が家の餃子は、ラッキョウやツナを入れてつくります。
にんにくは使いません。
タレはショウガ醤油です。
Gyouza is Chinese food, called Jiaozi in China,
Chinese dumpling.
It is common here in Japan.
The most prominent differences of Japanese-style gyōza from Chinese style jiaozi are the rich garlic flavor,
but we never use garlic at our home.
The sauce is with ginger and soy sauce.

ミツバ Japanese honeywort
ミツバのお浸しです。
春の味ですね。
ちょっぴり苦い、独特の風味が格別です。
Boiled Japanese honeyworts.
We eat this spring vegetable with Katsuobushi and soy sauce.
A little bitter, special "wild" taste.

梅干し Umebosi
梅干しと白いごはん。
黒ゴマもちょっと振っています。
最近、梅の疲労解消効果が明らかになったと
ニュースにありました。
昔から、経験的に分かっていたことだし、
梅干しとか食べていれば分かる、分かる。
やっと科学が追い付いたのね?(笑)
Umeboshi (pickled Japanese plum) on the boiled rice, and some sesame.
Umeboshi is claimed to combat fatigue.
