あやめ饅頭 Manju with iris


あやめのお饅頭です。
あやめはもちろん、絵ですが、
この時期にこうした風情、やっぱり素敵ですね。
和菓子の素晴らしいところ。

Manjū is a popular traditional Japanese confection,
which have an outside made from flour, rice powder and buckwheat and a filling of an (red bean paste), made from boiled azuki beans and sugar.

The iris shows the season around June.
Sense of the season is one of the important tastes for Japanese food.
