I found Anpan(popular Japanese sweet bun filled with bean paste)
of the cherry blossom flavor at a bakery.
It was a bun like Sakura-mochi (cherry flavored soft sweet rice cake).
It was wrapped with a salted cherry leaf,
and topped with a salted cherry blossom.
The smell of the cherry blossom feels nice.
Inside is some bean paste of cherry pink.
For refreshment,
have a cup of green tea and this kind of sweet with the season taste.
Croissant is french origin bread roll,
very popular here in Japan, too.
They say that croissants sold in Japan often taste sweeter,
but it is Japan's original arrangemant.
Lately many people became particular about taste of the bread,
so the taste of the croissants may be getting closer to
genuine taste.
やわらかいパン生地の上に サクッとした甘いビスケット生地(クッキー生地)をのせて焼くんですね。 なんと、台湾や中国、中米などでも食べられているパンだそうですよ。 Melonpan is very popular, nice to see various types at bakeries. The ones above is from Hokkaido. A melonpan(also known as melon pan, melon bun or melon bread) is a type of sweet bun from Japan. I hear that is also popular in Taiwan, China and Latin America. They are made from an enriched dough covered in a thin layer of crisp cookie dough. Their appearance resembles a melon, such as a rock melon (cantaloupe). They are not traditionally melon flavored, but now we can see many types, some of them are melon flavored.
